%Microsoft ($MSFT ) is scrambling to recover from a massive network outage that left tens of thousands of users worldwide unable to access its %Teams and %Outlook products.

%Downdetector, which tracks website outages, reported that Microsoft Outlook emails are not working around the world.

Other Microsoft services such as Teams and Xbox Live are also down. According to Downdetector, issues with Microsoft products have been reported in the United Kingdom, America, India and Japan.

In an online statement, Microsoft said the problem is related to “networking configuration issues” and that it is addressing the problem as quickly as it can to restore service to customers online.

Microsoft added that it is also investigating an issue with its Azure cloud computing service, saying “a subset of users” had experienced outages with that product as well.

Microsoft Teams is used by more than 280 million people worldwide, primarily in businesses and schools, where it is used to facilitate video conference calls and meetings.

The service disruption comes at the same time that Microsoft reported its sales rose only 2% in the three months ended December 2022 to $52.7 billion U.S., which was below Wall Street forecasts.

Microsoft’s profit in the latest quarter declined by 12% to $16.4 billion U.S. The company’s stock fell 2% immediately after the earnings announcement.

Over the last year, Microsoft’s stock has fallen 16% to $242.04 U.S. per share.
