At the market open in Toronto, the TSX Composite Index climbed 0.20%. The TSX Venture and the TSX Smallcap were also up. The TSX Venture rose 0.21%, while the Smallcap was slightly up by 0.05%.

  • Celestica Inc (TSX:CLS).: Climbed 4.63% or 7.12 points to 160.98.
  • MAG Silver (TSX:MAG): Increased 4.00% or 0.86 points to 22.34.
  • IAMGold (TSX:IMG): Rose 3.27% or 0.25 points to 7.90.

Top Losers:

  • First Quantum Minerals (TSX:FM): Declined 2.00% or 0.39 points to 19.08.
  • Air Canada (TSX:AC): Fell 1.55% or 0.32 points to 20.30.
  • Advantage Oil & Gas Ltd. (TSX:AAV): Dropped 1.53% or 0.155 points to 9.975.

In Commodities Trading:

  • March Brent Oil Contract dropped by 0.37% or 0.30 points to 81.73 a barrel.
  • Crude Oil for February delivery fell 0.38 points to 78.33 a barrel.
  • Gold Futures for February delivery rose 30.56 points to 2,648.36 a troy ounce.

Currency Markets:

  • USD/CAD is stable at 1.4391.
  • EUR/CAD is trading at 1.4794.
  • The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 109.055.
